Isn't great when you have those days where everything goes according to plan and we feel improvement in the things we are trying to improve in, smooth as we ride the trails or whatever it is that we are doing that day. Then there are those other days. Nothing seems to go right and we struggle with the things that were so easy just yesterday. Swimming was like that this morning. It is a very technique oriented sport and the changes that we are making to my stroke were starting to be more natural; then today hit and nothing was easy and the stroke felt way off! Although my brain was telling me to quit and try another day I did stick with it for a while longer and the stroke did get better. However it never felt great so I did cut my losses and ended the workout a little early. There are some days that you just have to say enough because we all know that the next day everything can click and we can get back on track. There is also no point in practicing the wrong technique - especially in swimming. Now that I've justified my morning workout the day is just getting better - moving on!
